I know I said earlier that when you decide to go see the world, that you should do it by train. But what I forgot to mention is that you need to be aware of when and where your stop is.
It’s a pretty simple thing, so I guess I never really rationalized this, but trains don’t make landings like airplanes do. Except in that move Back to The Future III where at the end Marty comes, well, back to the future and his car is on the train tracks, only to be destroyed by the quirky Doc, moments before he gives him a sentimental photo of the two of them when Marty was back in the 1800’s, and after saying their goodbyes, the Doc and his new family actually go airborne in their train. Should I be led to make an educated guess, I would guess that that train would have to land sooner or later. That’s one time when trains would land like airplanes.
Anyway, unless you’re as handsome (hungover) as I was, when you’re on a plane and it lands, you wake up.
And that’s how you avoid missing your stop.
